Terms & Conditions

The Shot Labs ("Shot Labs," "we," "our," or "us") is a multimedia production and education studio based in St. Charles, Missouri, serving the greater St. Louis metro and beyond. By accessing or using our website, booking a session, attending a workshop, submitting a form, or otherwise engaging with our services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

You must be at least 18 years old (or have written permission from a parent or legal guardian) to book sessions, attend workshops, or create an account. Models and participants under 18 must have a guardian sign all releases.

• All bookings are confirmed only when payment or deposit (as applicable) is received.
• Reschedules must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled time.
• No-shows and cancellations made inside 48 hours may forfeit the deposit.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to weather, illness, equipment failure, or other circumstances outside our control; you'll be offered a reschedule or refund of the deposit in those cases.

Workshop seats are non-transferable without prior written approval. Course materials, presentations, and recordings are for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be redistributed.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Shot Labs retains copyright in all photographs, video, and other content we produce. Clients receive a personal-use license to the delivered final files. Commercial use, resale, and editing of files requires a separate written license. Models and clients grant Shot Labs a perpetual, royalty-free license to use likenesses and produced content for portfolio, marketing, and educational purposes unless an alternative written release is signed.

Invoices are due on receipt unless stated otherwise. Past-due balances may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by Missouri law. All sales of digital goods, gift cards, and workshop seats are final.

When you opt in to email marketing (newsletter, promotional emails, workshop announcements), you consent to receive periodic marketing emails from The Shot Labs at the address you provide. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your account at /dashboard/notifications. Transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, reminders, account and security notices) are not marketing and are sent regardless of marketing opt-in, because they are necessary to provide the Services you requested. We comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act.

We offer two separate text-message programs and you must opt in to each one independently. Opt-ins are never pre-checked.

• SMS Marketing: occasional promotions, workshop announcements, and offers. Frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. By opting in you consent to receive automated marketing text messages from The Shot Labs at the mobile number you provide; consent is not a condition of any purchase.
• SMS Booking Alerts & Reminders (Transactional): booking confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, and account alerts only — no marketing. Reply STOP to cancel; doing so will end SMS reminders for your bookings.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. You may manage SMS preferences at any time at /dashboard/notifications. Our SMS programs comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines.

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, scraping, interfering with operation, uploading unlawful content, or using the Services to harass any person.

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. To the maximum extent permitted by Missouri law, The Shot Labs' aggregate liability arising from or related to the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

You agree to defend and indemnify The Shot Labs from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in St. Charles County, Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
